Membership Form 2026-2027

Section 18.3 of the Virginia Democratic Party Plan:

“Each person participating in a caucus must provide written certification that he or she: a) is a Democrat; b) is a registered

voter within the jurisdiction for which the caucus is held; c) believes in the principles of the Democratic Party; and d)

does not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a Democratic nominee in the next ensuing election.”

I, the undersigned, having read the above provisions, hereby state that I am a Democrat, that I am a registered voter in the precinct listed below, that I believe in the principles of the Democratic Party, and that I do

not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a Democratic nominee in the next ensuing election.

ARTICLE III. Membership—Franklin County Democratic Committee By-Laws

A. Every resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia who resides in Franklin County and believes in the principles of the Democratic Party is declared to be a member of the Democratic Party of Virginia; those persons who also work toward the election of Democrats to local, state, or national offices and who meet the other requirements for membership are members of the Franklin County Democratic Committee.

ARTICLE VIII: Contributions—Franklin County By-Laws

“At the reorganization meeting, members of the Committee shall be asked to contribute an amount to the Committee as suggested by the Executive Committee. The contribution shall be voluntary and will not be deemed a requirement for participation or membership.” The 2026-27 Executive Committee suggests that each person contribute at least $20.00, annually, towards the local party’s expenses.
